Great Places in Canada

Where are all the great places in Canada?

Over the next four months, Canadians across the country will be competing to put their favorite location on the map. Will it be a street, public space, or neighbourhood in your city or town? Will your special location make it to the top?

The launch of CIP's Great Places in Canada marks the first annual contest that encourages people to nominate and vote for the place they love most. The competition is open to everyone - just go to www.GreatPlaceInCanada.com where you can, nominate, write about, and post images of the place that inspires you.

This competition is being sponsored by the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP) as a way to recognize the work of professional planners, and to join with all Canadians in a celebration of the great places we are fortunate enough to share in this country.

Join the competetion. Put your favorite location on the map. You can nominate and vote until March 25, 2011.
