Women's Fitness Center

Did you know that the Women's Fitness Center is open?

Hours of operation are 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Monday to Friday at the Dean Fraser Center. You are welcome to use the facility as many times that you wish during the hours of operation.

Fees are as follows:
3 months $75.00
6 months $150.00
Annually $300.00
Please pay Ron at the Rec Office at your earliest convenience.

If there are any problems, please contact Ron at the Rec Office as there is no one to manage the center on a regular basis.

Carnduff Country Christmas

The Carnduff & District Business Organization is once again pleased to present Carnduff Country Christmas on Thursday, November 17th.

Late night shopping until 7 p.m.

Market Days @ CE Building from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Free Movie @ theatre at 4 p.m.

Pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus @ Sprectra CU at 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Cost $5, extra prints available for an additional cost.

Ping Pong Drop in front of Spencer's Foods at 5:45 p.m. for the younger children.

Annual Chili Cook-Off - call Cheryl Ann Shaw at 482-5244 to register. Chili will be available for sale at the CE Building at 4:30 p.m.

Hot Dogs for sale at the Friendship Centre sponsored by the Ag Society.

Free hot chocolate at BMO Bank of Montreal.

Santa's Workshop - All children are invited to stop in and create a present for a loved one; 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Zaanti Relaxation Spa (former Curves building on Broadway).

Window Decorating - Thanks to the Carnduff Education Complex Grade 9 class for the artistic decor in many local business windows.

Presentations and Lighting of the tree at 7 p.m. on Broadway Street. Winners of Chili Cook-off to be announced and draws will be made for the Christmas baskets.

Quality of Life Survey

We need you!

The Town and RM want to collect information from you so they know what they should do to make Carnduff the best possible place to live. We are interested in hearing from you no matter how long you have lived here and no matter what you do for a living. The information will help us learn what life is like for you here. We want to know what we are doing right and where we can improve.

The survey will run until Monday, October 31, 2011. Surveys can be assessed on the Town of Carnduff website, www.carnduff.ca, or can be picked up at the Town Office.

Ah! The forgotten joy of a soaring kite...

Come out and join the Carnduff and District Business Organization for an afternoon of kite making and flying.

Saturday, October 1st, we will meet at the CE building St. Andrew's United Church to make our kites and then go to the school and fly them. Hot chocolate and cookies willl be available following the kite flying.

We will have the supplies to build your kites, however if you wish you may bring further supplies to decorate your kite.

REGISTRATION IS A MUST to ensure tht we have adequate supplies. To register, please call Maxine at the Economic Development Office at 482-3503 or by email at carnduff.edo@sasktel.net or Marcia at Marcia.Greenwook@sprectracu.org. Registration deadline is Friday, September 23rd, 2011.

THIS EVENT IS FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY because no one is ever too old or too young to have their spirits soar with the colourful kites.

Carnduff Community Daycare requires a Casual Cook

The Carnduff Community Daycare is looking for a Casual Cook staff member available to start immediately. This position would involve call-in when the full-time cook is unable to work and also to fill a 12 t0 18 week leave of absence position starting September 26th, 2011. Hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. If you are unable to work a 5-day week, we may be willing to work with you. Applicants for this position must possess reliability, confidentially, positive attitude, and patience. The ability to work as part of a team is also an essential attribute.

Wage levels can be discussed upon receiving an application.

Criminal Record Check as well as a TB test are required.

Carnduff Ag Society True Grit Ranch Rodeo & Team Roping

Saturday and Sunday, August 27th & 28th
10:00 a.m. - Round Robin Team Roping - 2 day event
2:00 p.m. - Ranch Rodeo - 2 day event

Food Booth and Beer Gardens (opens at 1 p.m.) on grounds all weekend.

On Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 3 p.m. - Fun Zone for kids; 6 p.m. - Supper and calcutta; 9 p.m. - Cabaret in the rink featuring Ten Mile High out of Oxbow.

Come out and enjoy the day. The Round Robin Team Roping has 400 runs total. The Ranch Rodeo consists of 5 events - calf branding, trailer relay, pasture doctoring, trailer loading and wild cow milking (now I want to see that!)

Admission: Adults $10 for the weekend or $7/day; 12 & under $3; preschoolers are free.
